I myself am strange and unusual. (Earrings by Witching Hour Baby.)

I built a Book Event Calendar! It’s only got one event in it right now, as proof of concept, but I plan to add more soon.

Today I:

  • found contact info for new handyman
  • filled meds cases
  • made cinnamon sugar pumpkin seeds
  • put away a little laundry
  • drove kid around to look at Halloween decorations
  • made popcorn
  • checked in for #FSNNA21
  • watched Star Trek Discovery
  • read some BLACK SUN

Hey book friends. Is there any sort of centralized calendar for virtual author events? My searches are turning up Eventbrite, specific publisher listings, and bookstore listings, but not one place where I can find a lot at once.

Part of me wants to swim in a vault filled with books like some sort of literary Scrooge McDuck, but the other part of me knows I would get So. Many. Papercuts.

This thing where I need to sleep instead of staying up all night watching Star Trek: Discovery is really bumming me out. πŸ––πŸ»

On my Starfleet ship, we would have Sirenian ops.

πŸ’»β–ΆοΈ Watched The Doctor, The Mortician, and the Murder.

Don’t want to spoil the Lower Decks finale much but I was so distracted by my delight at encountering Captain Sonya Gomez I actually missed anything else in the first few minutes and had to rewind. Gomez is probably my favorite TNG character outside the main crew. πŸ––πŸ»πŸ“Ί

The other day while doing some Artist’s Way exercises my subconscious bubbled up and told me I wanted a typewriter. Now I’m stuck on this idea.

As in the actual Haunted Mansion ride, the best part of Muppets Haunted Mansion is the ballroom/party scene. In this case, less for the Pepper’s Ghost illusion and more for the Muppet Show vibe.

M (who turned 5 yesterday!) & I are watching Muppets Haunted Mansion and I’m very happy.
