You, a reasonable person: Don’t you have a dissertation to finish?
Me, a Kimberly: Okay but I’m SO FAR BEHIND on Star Wars lore.
Okay okay but hear me out: what if you ALSO watched the OLD Animaniacs on Hulu?
What’s a weird skill you have that you will possibly never use again? I’m REALLY good at knowing exactly when to black out the lights for maximum impact to end an improv comedy set.
I wrote a page in my Discussion/Conclusions chapter! YAY ME! (Turns out trying to move discussions into findings just led to me trying to write more findings which is NOT WHAT I NEED TO BE DOING RIGHT NOW.)
Present Kimberly is over here agonizing about the discussion piece of her dissertation. Meanwhile, Past Kimberly (from September) already figured out the major themes from the data and put them in an outline. Thank goodness for Past Kimberly.
Holidays are lovely but I have to give myself time to recover after them. (The thing about having all your family local and beautiful weather means you get multiple outdoor, masked, distanced holiday gatherings.)
My kid just explained to me an imaginary informational text he has that explains why Grinches don’t like Christmas. Thanks, Magic Treehouse!
I’m 20 minutes into Happiest Season and it is every bit as cute as I thought it would be, though I’m distracted sometimes by the difference in size between KStew’s & Mackenzie Davis’s heads.
Oh right. Knitting stresses me out. Better for re-learning when I have the bandwidth for something newish and am looking to grow than for when I’m trying to relax. Maybe after my dissertation draft is finished.
I think it’s time for me to re-learn to knit. I find myself craving the kinds of textures that are easier to achieve with knitting than with crochet. π§Ά
